The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59910 is a 6-flute, single-end square end mill designed for high-performance cutting in stainless steel, steel, and cast iron. Built from solid carbide and coated with Tplus, it delivers the wear resistance and edge retention required in demanding machining environments. The 1/2 inch diameter cutting profile pairs with a 1-1/4 inch length of cut and a 37-degree helix angle, providing efficient chip evacuation and reduced deflection in deep-pocket and side-milling operations. A variable pitch (variable index) geometry minimizes chatter at aggressive feed rates. This tool is intended for professional machinists running CNC milling centers in job shop, aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing settings.
This end mill is suited for milling stainless steel, carbon steel, and cast iron in both roughing and finishing passes. The 6-flute configuration increases the number of cutting edges in contact with the workpiece, which improves surface finish and allows for higher feed-per-tooth rates compared to 4-flute designs. The straight shank and 1/2 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders commonly used on vertical and horizontal machining centers. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC milling spindle rotation. The Tplus coating is engineered for elevated cutting temperatures common in stainless and high-temp alloy applications.
Designed for use in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces as part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS End Mills for Stainless and High Temp 6-Flute Square Variable Pitch series. Fits standard 1/2 inch ER collet chucks and end mill holders.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine powered off and the spindle fully stopped. Seat the straight shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tools. This tooling is intended for use by qualified machinists familiar with CNC milling feeds, speeds, and workholding requirements.
