The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59905 is a 6-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. With a 0.375-inch mill diameter and a 0.500-inch length of cut, it delivers aggressive chip evacuation in demanding ferrous machining applications. The variable index flute geometry reduces harmonic vibration, and the Tplus coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection during high-speed cutting. This end mill is a single-end, centercutting tool with a right-hand cut and right-hand helical flute direction, suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by skilled machinists and toolroom professionals.
This end mill belongs to the Helical Solutions End Mills for Stainless and High Temp 6-Flute Square Variable Pitch series. It is engineered for milling steel, stainless steel, and cast iron in both roughing and finishing operations. The straight shank and 3/8-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders. The 2.000-inch overall length provides adequate reach for most standard workholding setups without introducing excessive deflection. Typical applications include slot milling, peripheral milling, and contour work on ferrous and hard-to-machine alloys in production and job shop environments.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and conventional milling machines with standard 3/8-inch collet chucks or end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, and cast iron as specified by the manufacturer for this series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the collet or end mill holder is clean and free of debris before securing the shank, and verify runout with a dial indicator before committing to full-depth cuts. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Refer to the machine manufacturer guidelines and cutting data recommendations for appropriate speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material.
