The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59816 is a 3-flute, solid carbide chamfer mill designed for high-performance chamfering, deburring, and edge-breaking operations on a wide range of workpiece materials. With a 3/8-inch cutter head diameter and a 60-degree included angle, this tool delivers clean, precise chamfered edges in a single pass. The Zplus coating reduces friction and extends tool life in demanding cutting environments. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 3/8-inch shank diameter, it fits standard end mill toolholders and collet chucks used in CNC machining centers and manual mills alike. Machinists and toolroom professionals specify this mill for its helical flute geometry, which provides smooth chip evacuation and minimizes cutting forces.
This chamfer mill is suited for chamfering and deburring operations in job shop, production, and toolroom environments. The helical flute design and right-hand cutting direction make it appropriate for use on steel, aluminum, stainless, and other common engineering materials. It is part of HELICAL SOLUTIONS Specialty Profiles Chamfer Mills series, specifically the High Performance 3 and 5 Flute Helical Flute line. Typical applications include edge prep prior to welding, thread relief, and part deburring on CNC vertical machining centers and horizontal mills. One tool per package.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit chamfer mill for standard 3/8-inch collet chucks and end mill toolholders used in CNC and manual milling applications.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, tagged-out state per applicable shop safety procedures. Secure the 3/8-inch shank in a properly sized collet or toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before mounting. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material.
