The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59436 is a 6-flute solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys including titanium. It carries a 1/4-inch mill diameter with a 0.1250-inch nose radius and a 3/4-inch length of cut. The APLUS PVD coating provides enhanced wear resistance and heat tolerance for demanding cutting conditions. The variable index flute geometry reduces harmonic vibration, supporting both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. This end mill is intended for use by skilled machinists and CNC operators working with hard and abrasive ferrous and exotic workpiece materials.
This tool is suited for milling applications in aerospace, tool-and-die, and precision machining environments where steel, tool steels, cast iron, and high-temp alloys are common workpiece materials. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration with a straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders. The standard-length profile and 2-1/2-inch overall length make it appropriate for general-purpose pocketing, contouring, and profiling operations where tool reach requirements are moderate. It performs across roughing and finishing passes, reducing tool changes on multi-stage jobs.
Designed for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys including titanium. Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS HEV-6 series. Fits standard 1/4-inch collet chucks and end mill holders with straight-cylindrical shank compatibility.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC milling equipment and toolholder specifications. Confirm collet or end mill holder bore matches the 1/4-inch shank diameter and that runout does not exceed the 0.0005-inch TIR maximum before beginning a cut. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against the material being machined and the machine tool's rated capacity. Do not exceed the tool's rated reach or use it in conditions that induce excessive side loading beyond the length-of-cut specification.
