The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59414 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous materials. It features a 0.75 inch mill diameter, a 1.625 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length. The 5-flute, single-end design with an APLUS PVD coating provides extended tool life and thermal resistance in demanding cutting environments. A 0.030 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, making this tool well-suited for roughing operations where edge integrity matters. The variable pitch geometry helps suppress chatter during aggressive material removal passes.
This end mill is intended for roughing applications in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It is used in CNC machining centers where high precision toolholders are employed. The straight-cylindrical shank with an h6 tolerance shank diameter ensures consistent runout and secure clamping in collet or hydraulic chuck setups. It is a single-end, centercutting tool capable of plunge entry, making it suitable for pocketing and slotting operations in addition to peripheral milling.
Designed for use with high precision toolholders in CNC machining applications. Primary workpiece materials include low-alloy steel, medium alloy steel, tool steel, and cast iron. Secondary workpiece materials include stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Part of the HEV-C-5 series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into a high precision collet, hydraulic chuck, or shrink-fit holder to maintain TIR within specification. Verify runout at the cutting edge before beginning the operation, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and degrades surface finish. Follow the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material being machined.
