The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59328 is a 6-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in steel, cast iron, and related ferrous materials. It carries a 1/2-inch mill diameter, a 0.03-inch corner radius, and a 1-1/4-inch length of cut. The APLUS PVD coating improves surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting environments. The variable-pitch flute geometry reduces harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts, supporting both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, tool rooms, or production environments will find this end mill suited to tight-tolerance work in ferrous and hard materials.
The 59328 is built for machining low-alloy steel, medium alloy steel, tool steel, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. The right-hand cut, right-hand spiral, single-end configuration makes it a standard fit for vertical and horizontal CNC milling centers. The 3-inch overall length and straight-cylindrical 1/2-inch shank accept standard ER and precision hydraulic toolholders. It is rated for use with high-precision toolholders where runout control is critical. Variable pitch spacing and a maximum TIR of 0.0005 inches support stable cutting at elevated feed rates.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece materials are steel and cast iron; secondary workpiece materials include stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS HEV-6 series.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Seat the shank fully into a clean, undamaged toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout at the cutting edge before beginning a production cut, as TIR directly affects surface finish and tool life. Follow all machine guarding and lockout/tagout procedures before changing or adjusting tooling.
