The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 59130 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous metals. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. With three right-hand helical flutes at a 35-degree helix angle, it handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, and the straight cylindrical shank at 1/2 inch diameter seats securely in high-precision toolholders. This tool is part of the H35AL-3 series, optimized for aluminum machining.
The 59130 is built for CNC machining centers and manual mills where aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpieces require clean, accurate cuts. It is also rated for secondary use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials, making it a versatile option in job shop environments. The uncoated finish is appropriate for aluminum applications where coating buildup can be a concern. Machinists and toolroom technicians working in production and prototype environments will find this end mill suitable for both slotting and profiling operations.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece material is aluminum and non-ferrous metals; rated for secondary use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. Part of the H35AL-3 end mill series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out state. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully into a high-precision toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout does not exceed the 0.0003 inch maximum TIR before beginning a cut. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or wear before each use.
