The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 48056 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in both roughing and finishing operations. Built to Series H40ALV-3 standards, it features a 0.1875 inch (3/16 inch) mill diameter and a 0.0300 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at part edges and extends tool life. The Zplus PVD coating optimizes performance in aluminum and non-ferrous metals, though the tool is rated for secondary applications in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. Three helical flutes with a variable index configuration improve chip evacuation and reduce chatter. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing are the primary installers.

This end mill is suited for precision milling operations on aluminum and non-ferrous metals as a primary workpiece material. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by CNC machinists or tool and die professionals. Confirm toolholder runout meets or falls within the 0.0003 inch maximum TIR specification before use to protect both the tool and workpiece tolerances. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool path program is verified before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the rated length of cut of 0.7500 inches to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
