The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 46656 is a solid carbide, single-end corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in aluminum, non-ferrous metals, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. It features a 3/4-inch (0.7500 inch) mill diameter, a 0.2500-inch corner radius, and a 3-flute configuration with a variable-pitch, high-helix spiral flute geometry. The Zplus PVD coating is applied for wear resistance and thermal stability. The extended reach design, combined with a 7-inch overall length and 5-inch reach length, makes this end mill well suited for deep-pocket and long-reach applications requiring both roughing and finishing capability. A licensed machinist or CNC setup technician typically installs and qualifies this tool.
This end mill is rated primarily for aluminum and non-ferrous metal machining, with secondary capability in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. The H40ALV-RN-3 series is engineered for use with high-precision toolholders to maximize runout control and surface finish. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, making it practical for ramping, helical interpolation, and slot entry in CNC machining center applications across both production and job-shop environments.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders in CNC machining centers. Primary workpiece material is aluminum and non-ferrous metals (Material Application Code: N); secondary materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials (Codes: P, M, S, H). Series H40ALV-RN-3.
Installation and tool qualification should be performed by a trained CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before loading or changing the tool. Use a high-precision toolholder as specified by the manufacturer to maintain TIR within tolerance. Verify runout after seating and before beginning a cut cycle.
