The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 46611 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in both roughing and finishing operations. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 0.1250 inch corner radius, and three flutes with a variable pitch and 40-degree high helix angle. The tool is finished with a Zplus PVD coating optimized for aluminum and non-ferrous metals. It is a single-end, centercutting design with a 1 inch length of cut and a 6 inch overall length. Machinists and CNC programmers running high-precision setups will find this tool suited to demanding production environments.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC milling applications where aluminum and non-ferrous metals are the primary workpiece material. It is also rated for secondary use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, and hard materials. The extended reach design, with a 3.375 inch reach length and a 0.7120 inch neck diameter, makes it effective in deeper-pocket or step-down operations. The H40ALV-RN-3 series is designed for use with high-precision toolholders to maximize runout control and tool life.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece material is aluminum and non-ferrous metals (Material Code N). Also rated for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, and hard materials (Material Codes P, M, S, H). Part of the H40ALV-RN-3 series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. This tool requires a high-precision toolholder to achieve rated TIR performance - standard ER collets or worn holders may compromise runout and tool life. Confirm shank diameter tolerance h6 compatibility with your toolholder before mounting. Follow your machine tool manufacturer guidelines for recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material.
