The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 46576 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and a range of secondary materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. It carries a 3/4 inch mill diameter with a 0.1250 inch corner radius and a 1 inch length of cut. The Zplus PVD coating extends tool life in demanding applications. With a variable pitch, high helix design and a 40-degree helix angle, this end mill is built for both roughing and finishing operations. It is intended for use with high-precision toolholders and is part of the H40ALV-RN-3 series.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers running aluminum and non-ferrous stock in production environments. The extended reach configuration, with a 2 inch reach length and 0.7120 inch neck diameter, allows access in deep-pocket and slotting applications where clearance is limited. The centercutting geometry enables plunge entry. Machinists and tooling specialists in job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing typically deploy this tool where dimensional accuracy and surface finish quality are both priorities.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary material application is aluminum and non-ferrous metals, with secondary compatibility for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and hard materials. Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS H40ALV-RN-3 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with CNC milling setups. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully into a high-precision toolholder and verify runout before running at operating speeds. Confirm workpiece clamping and program feed and speed parameters appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
