The three-flute geometry is paired with a variable pitch design and a high helix angle of 40 degrees, promoting chip evacuation and reducing chatter. A Zplus PVD coating extends tool life and improves performance in aluminum and non-ferrous metal applications. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.5000 inch in diameter, and the overall length is 5.0000 inches. This end mill is engineered primarily for aluminum and non-ferrous metals, with secondary capability in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, and hard materials. The H40ALV-RN-3 series is classified as a long-length, extended-reach design, with a reach length of 3.3750 inches and a reduced neck diameter of 0.4750 inch that provides clearance in deep-pocket and slotting operations. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. It is suited for CNC machining centers running high-speed operations where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are required.
