The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 43527 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in milling operations. Built on the HSV-4 series platform, it features a 0.5000 inch mill diameter, a 1.2500 inch length of cut, and a 0.0600 inch corner radius. The four-flute geometry runs in a right-hand cutting direction with a variable pitch and spiral flute configuration, supporting both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. An APLUS PVD coating protects the cutting edges during aggressive feeds in ferrous materials. The overall length is 3 inches and the straight cylindrical shank diameter is 0.5000 inch. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists select this end mill for production work where edge life and surface finish consistency matter.
This end mill is engineered for milling low-alloy steel, medium alloy steel, tool steel, and cast iron. It is suited for vertical and horizontal machining centers running high-precision toolholders. The single-end, non-centercutting design positions it for side milling, peripheral profiling, and slotting operations where corner radius blending is required. The variable pitch index helps suppress harmonic chatter during deeper cuts in harder ferrous workpieces.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include low-alloy steel, medium alloy steel, tool steel, and cast iron (material codes P and K). Part of the HELICAL SOLUTIONS HSV-4 series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the spindle fully stopped and locked out. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully into a precision collet or toolholder to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer. Verify runout with an indicator before beginning a production cut, noting that the maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0005 inch. Follow the tooling manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters appropriate to the workpiece material.
