The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 29600 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-efficiency material removal in aluminum and non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 2-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.0300 inch corner radius, making it well suited for roughing operations where edge strength and chip clearance matter. The 3-flute geometry with a 45-degree high helix angle promotes fast evacuation of soft, sticky chips common in aluminum. At 5 inches overall length with a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank, the tool fits standard high-precision toolholders and delivers consistent runout within a 0.0003 inch TIR maximum.
This end mill is built for CNC machining environments where aluminum and non-ferrous metals are the primary workpiece materials. It is also rated for secondary use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, and hard materials, giving shops flexibility across job types. The coarse pitch, right-hand flute direction, and centercutting capability allow it to plunge, slot, and profile in a single tool. Series H45AL-C-3 identifies it within the HELICAL SOLUTIONS roughing lineup for non-ferrous applications.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Primary workpiece material is aluminum and non-ferrous metals; secondary compatibility includes steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, and hard materials. Series H45AL-C-3.
Installation is performed by CNC machinists or tool-and-die professionals. Seat the 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank fully in a clean, undamaged collet or toolholder bore and torque to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as the 0.0003 inch TIR maximum requires a properly maintained toolholder. Do not exceed the recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material, and ensure the spindle and fixture are fully secured before engaging the cut.
