The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 19327 is a 3-flute solid carbide square end mill engineered for high-performance milling of aluminum and non-ferrous materials. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter with a 5/8 inch length of cut and a 45-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation in gummy, low-iron materials. The Zplus ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating reduces built-up edge and extends tool life in aluminum alloys. With a 4.25 inch extended reach and 6 inch overall length, this end mill is well suited for deep-cavity work where standard-reach tooling falls short. It is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute design with a straight 1/2 inch shank.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous alloys are the primary workpiece material (ISO material group N). The extended neck and reduced-neck geometry make it a common choice for aerospace component machining, mold work, and fixture fabrication where tool reach into deep pockets or along tall walls is required. The center-cutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled starting hole.
Designed for use with standard 1/2 inch ER, side-lock, or shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Primary application is aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials (ISO group N). No specific machine model compatibility was stated by the manufacturer for this part number.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control placed in E-stop or tool-change mode. Secure the straight shank in a clean, properly sized collet or toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before use. Follow your facility safe-tooling procedures and applicable OSHA machine guarding requirements when operating rotating cutting tools.
