The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 03332 is a 3-flute, solid carbide square end mill designed for aluminum milling applications. It features a 3/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1/2 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree helix angle optimized to evacuate chips efficiently in non-ferrous materials. The Zplus coating reduces built-up edge and extends tool life in aluminum, brass, and other soft metals. At 2 inches overall length with a straight cylindrical shank, it fits standard collet systems and tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills. Machinists and CNC operators install this tool for finishing and semi-finishing passes in aluminum workpieces.
This end mill is built for cutting aluminum and other non-ferrous soft metals in both production and job-shop environments. The 45-degree right-hand helix promotes smooth chip flow and reduces heat at the cutting edge. The 3-flute geometry balances material removal rate with chip clearance, making it a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling in aluminum. It is a single-end tool and is not designed for regrinding after full wear.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard collet or end mill holders accepting a 3/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. Suited for aluminum and other non-ferrous soft metal cutting applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before mounting or removing the tool. Insert the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended gauge line and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the tool for chips or edge damage before each use and replace if cutting edges show wear.
