The HELICAL SOLUTIONS 01435 is a 3-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance aluminum milling applications. With a 0.5-inch mill diameter and a 35-degree helix angle, this tool promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action in non-ferrous materials. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry, and the right-hand flute direction with right-hand cutting direction suits conventional CNC and manual milling setups. The bright, uncoated finish is well suited to aluminum, where coatings can sometimes cause material adhesion. This end mill is sold individually and is a stocking tool for shops running aluminum work regularly.
This end mill is intended for use in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials in both job shop and production machining environments. The 3-flute configuration balances chip clearance with rigidity, making it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations in aluminum at moderate to aggressive feeds and speeds. The 0.5-inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard ER collets, end mill holders, and Weldon-style adapters commonly found in machining centers and manual knee mills. No extended-reach geometry is present, keeping the tool compact and rigid for general-purpose work.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide end mill for use in standard 0.5-inch ID toolholders, ER collet chucks, and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills processing aluminum and non-ferrous materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following shop-standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth per your toolholder manufacturer guidelines. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, particularly for finish-pass or close-tolerance work.
