The HEIL hvh848gka is a variable-speed inverter-driven heat pump designed for residential and light-commercial comfort systems. It runs on 208/230 volts, single phase, and delivers 4 tons of nominal cooling capacity using non-ozone-depleting R-410A refrigerant. A high-efficiency variable-speed rotary compressor and an Electronic Expansion Valve work together to match output precisely to load conditions, reducing energy consumption and maintaining steady indoor temperatures. The cabinet is constructed from galvanized steel with a high-gloss baked-on powder coat finish, and a tight wire grille design allows coil cleaning without removing panels. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this unit as part of a split-system heat pump installation.
The hvh848gka is suited for residential split-system applications where variable-speed inverter technology is specified. The unit is compatible with the Ion Black System Control when installed as part of a complete communicating system, enabling full efficiency capability, Wi-Fi remote access, and intelligent diagnostics. The system transitions automatically between heating, cooling, and defrost modes through advanced electronic controls. It is appropriate for applications requiring a high-efficiency, low-sound-profile heat pump in single-phase 208/230-volt service.
Compatible with the Ion Black System Control when installed as part of a complete communicating system. Nominal cooling capacity range is 2 to 5 tons. Verify system voltage and communicating-control compatibility before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer's installation instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing the unit. R-410A refrigerant handling requires EPA Section 608 certification. Confirm line-set size, indoor coil compatibility, and control wiring requirements before commissioning.
