The HEIL hva960gka is a 5-ton, 19 SEER two-stage air conditioner condensing unit designed for residential central cooling systems. It operates on 208-230V single-phase 60Hz power and uses R-410A refrigerant. An integrated inverter control drives a compact ECM fan motor and enables five-stage operation when paired with a complete Observer communicating system. The unit is engineered for self-configuring installation when connected to a compatible ION communicating wall control, reducing setup time for installing technicians. Enhanced dehumidification capability is built into the control logic, making this unit well suited for humid climates.
This condensing unit is intended for residential split-system installations where high-efficiency cooling and communicating-system integration are priorities. It requires only two control wires from the communicating indoor unit to the condenser, simplifying field wiring. When integrated with the Observer communicating system and an ION Communicating Wall Control, it achieves full five-stage operation for precise comfort and efficiency management. Note that the ION control is not included. Some sizes are not available in the Southwest region.
Compatible with HEIL Observer communicating systems including ION Communicating Wall Control (sold separately). Designed for use with a compatible communicating indoor unit in a residential split-system configuration.
Installation of this condensing unit should be performed by an EPA 608-certified HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before making any electrical or refrigerant connections. Follow local codes and manufacturer documentation for proper pad mounting, line set sizing, and refrigerant handling. Do not operate the unit without verifying correct system refrigerant charge and airflow through the indoor coil.
