The HEAT CONTROLLER LLC maa1836bs1a is a cased, multi-position evaporator coil designed for residential split-system air conditioning and heat pump applications. Built with aluminum construction, it handles a tonnage range of 1.5 to 3 tons and is compatible with R-410A refrigerant. The coil ships ready for installation in upflow, downflow, horizontal left, or horizontal right configurations, giving installers flexibility across a wide range of air handler placements. A factory-installed piston metering device is included, simplifying refrigerant circuit setup. The unit measures 20 inches H x 17.5 inches W x 21 inches D and is rated for CFM outputs of 1050, 1200, and 1250 depending on system configuration.
This coil is intended for use with SE Series air conditioning and heat pump split systems in residential and light commercial ducted applications. Its multi-position capability makes it well suited for installations where air handler orientation varies by jobsite, including attic, closet, basement, and horizontal platform configurations. The cased design allows for straightforward drop-in placement within existing duct systems and new construction alike. Licensed HVAC technicians handling split-system retrofits or new installations will find the included piston metering device reduces field assembly steps.
Designed for use with SE Series AC and heat pump split systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and manufacturer guidelines. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and close refrigerant service valves before beginning coil removal or installation. Verify that the liquid line and suction line connection sizes match existing lineset dimensions before making connections. Refrigerant system work involving R-410A requires EPA Section 608 certification.
