The HCP 13661070 is a square-to-round plenum take-off fitting used in residential and light commercial forced-air duct systems. It transitions from a rectangular plenum opening to a round duct connection, allowing supply air to be routed from the main plenum to branch duct runs. Fabricated from standard gauge hot-dipped galvanized steel, this fitting measures 6.5 x 10 x 7 inches and is built to handle the structural and airflow demands of a typical trunk-and-branch duct layout. HVAC installers and sheet metal contractors use this type of fitting during new construction and system retrofits.
This plenum take-off is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC installations where a supply plenum feeds round branch ducts. It fits directly onto a rectangular plenum and necks down to a round collar for connection to flexible or rigid round ductwork. The 6.5 x 10 x 7 inch dimensions make it appropriate for standard plenum openings in gas furnace and air handler installations.
Designed as an OEM-style sheet metal fitting for use with standard residential and light commercial forced-air supply plenums requiring a square-to-round transition at branch duct takeoff points.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified sheet metal contractor. Power down the air handler or furnace and ensure the system is not operating before making any duct connections. All joints should be sealed with UL 181-rated mastic or foil tape to meet energy code requirements. Follow local mechanical codes and SMACNA duct construction standards when securing and supporting the fitting.
