The HARVEY TOOL RSB0350-C3 is a miniature solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in tight tolerances. With a reamer diameter of 0.0350 inches (wire size 65, 0.90 mm), this tool holds a diameter tolerance of +0.0002 to 0.0000 inches, making it well suited for close-fit bore work in small components. The 4-flute, right-hand cutting geometry with a straight flute configuration provides clean, consistent material removal. At 2 inches overall length with a 0.25-inch flute length, it is purpose-built for micro-scale holemaking operations. An AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life when running in hard or abrasive materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this reamer using standard chucking setups on CNC mills, drill presses, and lathes.
This reamer is intended for precision finishing of through-holes and blind holes in small machined parts. Typical applications include instrument components, medical device parts, aerospace hardware, and electronic assemblies where hole geometry and surface finish tolerances are critical. The straight-cylindrical shank allows direct mounting in collet chucks, drill chucks, and precision holders without additional adapters. It is part of the Harvey Tool Miniature Reamers series, covering reamer diameters in the 0 to 0.0499 inch range.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature chucking reamer for use in standard collet chucks, drill chucks, and precision holders that accept a straight-cylindrical shank. Part of the Harvey Tool Miniature Reamers series for wire-size and decimal-inch diameters below 0.0499 inches.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tool-and-die professionals. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the required tolerance. Solid carbide tooling is brittle and should not be used in setups with excessive vibration, misalignment, or interrupted cuts without proper support. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate when running miniature carbide reamers to avoid premature tool breakage.
