The HARVEY TOOL RRH1870 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision holemaking in tight-tolerance applications. With a reamer diameter of 0.1870 inches and a diameter tolerance of +0.0000 to -0.0002 inches, this tool holds close dimensional control suited to production and repair work alike. The 4-inch overall length and 1-inch flute length make it well matched to shallow-to-moderate depth bores in metal components. Machined from solid carbide, the four-flute right-hand spiral design clears chips efficiently while maintaining concentricity through the cut. The bright, uncoated finish is standard for general-purpose carbide reaming work.
This reamer is used in precision machining environments where bore finish and diameter accuracy are critical. It belongs to the Miniature Reamers series, targeting small-diameter holemaking and threading operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard collet chucks or drill chucks on CNC machining centers, manual mills, and drill presses. It is installed and operated by machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance technicians performing close-tolerance holemaking or fitting operations.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature chucking reamer for use in CNC and manual machining setups requiring small-diameter, close-tolerance bore finishing in the 0.1500 to 0.1999 inch diameter range.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with reaming procedures and machine tool setup. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a collet chuck or drill chuck with proper runout checked before cutting. Ensure the workpiece is firmly fixtured and the spindle is set to an appropriate speed and feed for carbide tooling in the chosen work material. Do not use this reamer for interrupted cuts or operations outside its rated diameter range.
