The HARVEY TOOL EFG0635-C6 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in hardened steel applications. Sized at No. 52 wire gauge (0.0635 inches in diameter), it features a 140-degree drill point angle optimized for hard-material entry with reduced thrust and improved point stability. The AlTiN Nano coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting through hardened steels at elevated surface speeds. Right-hand cutting direction. Overall length is 63.00 mm with a 22.00 mm flute length. This drill is part of the Miniature High Performance Drills - Hardened Steels series and is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in close-tolerance applications.
This micro drill bit is suited for drilling hardened steel workpieces in both production and maintenance machining environments. Its small diameter and solid carbide construction make it a practical choice for mold and die work, precision component manufacturing, and other applications where tight hole tolerances and hard material properties demand a purpose-built cutting tool. The h6 diameter tolerance on the shank ensures consistent seating in standard collet chucks and toolholding systems. A 3.00 mm shank diameter allows compatibility with metric collet systems commonly used in CNC machining centers and high-speed drilling fixtures.
Designed for drilling hardened steel as both primary and secondary workpiece material. Part of the HARVEY TOOL Miniature High Performance Drills - Hardened Steels series. Compatible with metric collet toolholding systems accepting a 3.00 mm shank diameter.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with high-speed micro-drilling operations. Ensure the toolholder and spindle are clean and properly seated before engaging the workpiece. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended operating parameters for the machine spindle and workpiece material — consult the machine tool manufacturer and cutting tool data for appropriate speeds and feeds.
