The HARVEY TOOL DDA2031-C4 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding production environments. Built to high-performance standards, it features a 130-degree point angle and a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) finish that reduces friction and extends tool life in non-ferrous applications. The bit measures 0.2031 inches (13/64 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 2.955 inches. A regular spiral flute geometry and right-hand cut make it well-suited for CNC and manual drilling operations where consistent hole quality and chip evacuation are critical. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and precision fab shops are the typical end users.
This drill bit is optimized for use in aluminum and composite materials, as indicated by the DLC coating and 130-degree point geometry, which is well matched to softer, gummy, or abrasive non-ferrous workpieces. The 6xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deeper hole entry relative to diameter without sacrificing rigidity. With a straight cylindrical shank diameter of 0.2364 inches (6.00 mm), it fits standard collet chucks and drill chucks used in machining centers, drill presses, and CNC mills where tight tolerances and repeat accuracy are expected.
Designed for use in drilling aluminum and composite materials; belongs to the Harvey Tool Miniature High Performance Drills series and is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar equipment accepting a straight cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with carbide tooling. Carbide drill bits are brittle compared to high-speed steel — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts, or excessive runout, which can cause chipping or fracture. Secure the shank fully in a collet or chuck to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before operation. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use and replace the bit at the first sign of wear to maintain hole tolerance.
