The HARVEY TOOL DDA0995-C4 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding materials, including composites. Measuring 0.0995 inches (2.52 mm) in diameter, this bit features a 130-degree double-angle point geometry that promotes clean entry and reduces walking on hard or layered substrates. The amorphous diamond coating extends tool life and reduces friction in abrasive composite materials. At 63.00 mm overall length with a right-hand cutting direction, it is suited for CNC machining centers and precision drill presses where tight tolerances and consistent hole quality are required. Diameter tolerance is held to h6 for repeatable fitment in precision fixtures.
This micro drill bit is intended for use in aerospace, electronics, and industrial composite fabrication applications where small-diameter holes must be held to close tolerances. The amorphous diamond coating makes it particularly well suited for drilling carbon fiber reinforced polymers, fiberglass laminates, and other abrasive non-metallic composites. The 4.00 mm shank diameter allows secure clamping in standard collet-style tool holders on CNC machining platforms. It is sold individually and intended for professional machine shop and production environments.
Designed for use in composite materials as noted in manufacturer specifications. Compatible with CNC machining centers and precision drill presses using standard collet holders sized for a 4.00 mm shank.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are clean and free of runout before seating the shank to protect the bit from breakage. Use appropriate speeds and feeds for carbide tooling in composite materials and avoid excessive feed pressure, which can cause micro-drill fracture. Eye protection and appropriate dust controls are required when machining composite materials.
