The HARVEY TOOL CHT0937-C3 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in prehardened mold steels and similarly demanding ferrous materials. With a 3/32-inch (0.0937-inch decimal) diameter and a 140-degree split-point angle, the bit enters material cleanly without walking, reducing the need for a center punch in most setups. The AlTiN coating adds surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in high-speed applications. Overall length is 75 millimeters with a 33-millimeter flute length. The 4-millimeter shank diameter provides a secure grip in standard collet chucks and drill chucks. Machinists and toolmakers working in mold shops or precision metalworking environments will find this bit well-suited to tight-tolerance bore work.
This drill bit is intended for use in prehardened mold steel as both its primary and secondary workpiece material. It belongs to HARVEY TOOL's Miniature High Performance Drills series for Prehardened Steels, making it a fit for mold and die work, toolroom operations, and prototype machining where small-diameter, high-accuracy holes are required. Right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation during drilling. The h6 diameter tolerance on the shank ensures consistent runout in precision tool holders.
Designed for use in prehardened mold steel as the primary workpiece material; part of the HARVEY TOOL Miniature High Performance Drills series for Prehardened Steels. Compatible with standard collet chucks and drill chucks accepting a 4-millimeter shank.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before loading or changing the bit. Carbide is brittle - avoid side loading, interrupted cuts, or excessive feed rates that can cause chipping or breakage. Verify collet or chuck runout before starting to protect the h6 shank tolerance and maintain hole accuracy.
