The HARVEY TOOL 994562 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. It features a 0.0620-inch cutting diameter with a 0.0100-inch corner radius and a 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry. The stub-length design provides a 3/32-inch (0.0930-inch) length of cut and a 1.5-inch overall length, keeping the tool rigid in setups where deflection must be minimized. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating buildup or edge prep would compromise dimensional accuracy. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shop, toolroom, and production environments rely on this class of end mill for finishing and light roughing passes.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, wood, and composite materials. The stub-standard length makes it a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations where reach is limited and rigidity is critical. Its centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry. The 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank seats in standard collet-style and shrink-fit toolholders used on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Compatible with standard collet-style and shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank. Designed for use on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring miniature corner radius end mills in the stub-standard length series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing the tool. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully into the toolholder and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. At this diameter, runout control is critical — inspect toolholder concentricity before committing to finish cuts.
