The HARVEY TOOL 966324 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal, wood, composite, and plastic applications. With a 0.375 inch cutter diameter and a 0.563 inch length of cut, this tool delivers clean, controlled material removal in a compact cutting envelope. The downcut flute geometry directs chips upward and pushes workpiece material downward, reducing surface tearout and edge delamination on the top face of the cut. A 20-degree helix angle balances cutting efficiency with edge stability. This end mill is a single-end tool with right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation, suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and tooling professionals.
The 966324 is well-suited for climb and conventional milling passes where top-surface finish quality is a priority, such as laminate trimming, wood routing, composite panel work, and light ferrous or non-ferrous metal profiling. The 0.375 inch shank diameter matches standard ER collet and end mill holder tooling commonly found in both vertical machining centers and CNC router spindles. At 3 inches overall length with a 0.375 inch shank, the tool fits standard tool holders without extended-reach adapters in most benchtop and production machine setups.
Designed as a standard-shank square end mill compatible with 0.375 inch ER collet systems and end mill holders used in CNC vertical machining centers and CNC router spindles.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine fully powered down and spindle at rest. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention nut to the tool holder specification before operation. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for chips or runout before each use. Tool grinding, regrinding, or modification should only be performed by qualified tooling personnel with appropriate grinding equipment.
