The HARVEY TOOL 964378-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision finishing operations in demanding machining environments. With a 0.078-inch mill diameter, a 0.01-inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes, this tool produces smooth, accurate profiles on tight-tolerance workpieces. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and abrasive materials. At 2.5 inches overall length with a long-flute design, this end mill reaches into deeper features while maintaining rigidity. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool suited for CNC milling operations requiring fine surface finishes.
This end mill is engineered for finishing cuts across a wide range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites. The long-flute geometry and miniature diameter make it well-suited for profiling, slotting, and contouring in small or confined features. It belongs to the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Long Flute series and is intended for use in precision toolholders on CNC machining centers. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard 1/8-inch collets and toolholders.
Designed for use with standard precision toolholders and collet chucks accepting a 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, O).
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the toolholder is properly cleaned and that runout is within acceptable limits before seating the shank, as miniature-diameter tools are sensitive to runout-induced breakage. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Follow the machine manufacturer and tool manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material and tool diameter.
