The HARVEY TOOL 957732 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication, tool and die work, and general machining applications. With a 1/2 inch cutter diameter and 3/4 inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers consistent performance in slotting, profiling, and contouring operations. The bright, uncoated carbide construction makes it well suited for ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a base substrate finish is preferred. A 20-degree helix angle with an upcut flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup at the cutting edge. This tool is installed and operated by machinists, CNC programmers, and manufacturing technicians on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is appropriate for use in both production and prototype machining environments. The 2-flute configuration provides adequate chip clearance for moderate feed rates and is commonly used in applications where both slotting and peripheral milling are required. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC milling setups. With a 1/2 inch shank diameter matching the cutter diameter, it mounts directly in standard ER or end mill holders without a reducer.
Designed as a standard-shank solid carbide end mill compatible with 1/2 inch ER collets, end mill holders, and milling chucks used on CNC vertical machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully powered down and locked out before tool changes. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the holder per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut. Do not exceed the rated depth of cut for the flute length, as cutting below the LOC can damage the tool and the workpiece.
