The HARVEY TOOL 954820-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 0.1562-inch (5/32-inch) mill diameter, a 0.5 mm (0.0200-inch) corner radius, and four helical flutes ground for right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction. The tool is coated with AlTiN via a PVD process, which extends tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials at elevated temperatures. At 2.0 inches overall length with a 0.235-inch length of cut, this is a stub-length tool built for rigidity in tight-clearance setups. It is single-end, centercutting, and rated for both roughing and finishing passes.
This end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. The stub-length geometry reduces deflection in high-precision CNC milling operations where tight tolerances are required. It fits into standard toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch (0.1875-inch) straight cylindrical shank. Typical applications include contour milling, slot milling, and profiling operations on parts where a controlled corner radius is needed to reduce stress concentration or meet drawing callouts. The short flute length makes it well suited to high-speed passes in shallow pockets and profiling cuts on small-part machining centers.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch straight cylindrical shank. Part of the HARVEY TOOL Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool release mechanism is engaged before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Confirm runout and tool projection before beginning any cut. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended feeds and speeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
