The HARVEY TOOL 949330-C3 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for precision chamfering, deburring, and edge-breaking operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills. It features 6 flutes with a right-hand cutting direction, delivering smooth chip evacuation and consistent surface finish on a wide range of materials. The cutter head diameter is 3/4 inch with a matching 3/4 inch shank diameter and an overall length of 4 inches. An AlTiN coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hard alloy applications. This tool is installed and operated by machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC programmers working in metal fabrication and precision manufacturing environments.
This chamfer mill is suited for single-end chamfering operations in both production and job-shop settings. The 60 and 120 degree included angle geometry makes it versatile for standard chamfer profiles on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials. With a 0.563 inch length of cut and a 4 inch overall length, it is well-proportioned for work in moderate-depth pockets and on flat or angled workpiece surfaces. It is appropriate for use in both vertical and horizontal machining centers running appropriate speeds and feeds for carbide tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chamfer mill for use in standard 3/4 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, or hydraulic toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the 3/4 inch shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque to the toolholder manufacturer specification before running. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use and remove the tool from service at the first sign of chipping or excessive wear. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against the manufacturer recommended parameters for solid carbide AlTiN-coated tooling and the specific workpiece material before beginning the cut.
