The HARVEY TOOL 941130-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. This single-end, center-cutting tool features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 0.0300 inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The AlTiN PVD coating improves heat resistance and tool life at elevated cutting speeds. With a stub-length design and 3/8 inch length of cut, this end mill is built for rigidity and accuracy in tight-tolerance finishing and roughing operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where corner radii must be held to close tolerances. The short flute length and straight cylindrical shank make it especially effective in applications requiring minimal tool deflection, such as cavity milling, pocket machining, and profiling in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It fits standard toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Material applications include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metal, and composite.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites. Part of the HARVEY TOOL Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder and torque the collet or set screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as corner radius tools are sensitive to concentricity errors.
