The HARVEY TOOL 941108-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding shop environments. It features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.2 mm (0.0080 inch) corner radius that protects the cutting edge and reduces stress concentrations at the workpiece. The 4-flute, single-end geometry with a 30-degree helical flute provides a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish. An AlTiN PVD coating adds heat and wear resistance, making this tool effective across a wide range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals select this end mill for both roughing and finishing passes where edge integrity matters.
This end mill is suited for vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills running toolholders compatible with a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. The stub and standard series classification places it in short-reach, tight-tolerance applications where rigidity is a priority. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites, making it a versatile choice across production machining, mold work, and prototype operations where corner radius geometry is specified on the print.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials as indicated by primary workpiece material codes P, M, K, N, and O.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully in a collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder specification before running. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits before engaging the cut, as excess runout will accelerate wear on a tool with this corner radius tolerance. Confirm machine is at a complete stop and spindle is locked before changing or inspecting the tool.
