The HARVEY TOOL 937960-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) mill diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating, this tool handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral design provides efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality. Overall length is 2 inches with a 3/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank. The stub-length geometry keeps deflection low in tight setups. Installed by machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. The AlTiN coating extends tool life in high-heat cutting conditions common when machining hardened steels and stainless alloys. The stub and standard series designation makes it a fit for applications where a short flute length improves rigidity, such as shallow pocket milling, shoulder milling, and profiling operations on vertical machining centers and CNC mills.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter, including collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit holders used on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine in a fully powered-down and locked-out state per applicable machine tool safety procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the toolholder manufacturer's specified runout tolerance before operation. Avoid applying side loads or impact forces during installation, as solid carbide is brittle and susceptible to chipping. Verify spindle direction and feed-rate parameters in the CNC program before first cut.
