The HARVEY TOOL 933231-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-precision milling in hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. With a 0.031-inch mill diameter, 0.005-inch corner radius, and 5 flutes, this single-end tool is built for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. The variable helix design reduces harmonic chatter, and the AlTiN PVD coating extends tool life when running at elevated temperatures in hard alloy and ferrous workpiece materials. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 1/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank, it seats securely in high-precision toolholders.
This end mill is designed for machining hardened steels up to 55 Rc, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. It is part of the Harvey Tool End Mills for Hardened Steels - Corner Radius series. Typical applications include finishing slots, pockets, and contoured features in die and mold work, aerospace components, and precision machined parts where edge integrity and tight tolerances at the corner radius are critical. The close pitch and right-hand flute direction suit conventional CNC machining centers running high-precision collet or hydraulic toolholders.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders on CNC machining centers. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. Rated for hardened steels up to 55 Rc per the Harvey Tool End Mills for Hardened Steels - Corner Radius series specification.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is disabled before loading or unloading the end mill. Seat the 1/4-inch shank fully and evenly in a high-precision collet or hydraulic toolholder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use, particularly when working at or near the 55 Rc hardness limit.
