The HARVEY TOOL 932110-C8 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal, composite, and hard-material applications. It features a 5/32 inch (0.1562 inch) diameter with a 3/4 inch length of cut and a 3/16 inch shank diameter, giving it a total overall length of 3 inches. The 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. A Titanium Diboride (TiB2) coating adds hardness and lubricity at the cutting edge, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This end mill is sized for finish milling, slotting, and profiling in confined features where a smaller-diameter tool is required. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tool setters.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills equipped with an ER or comparable collet system accepting a 3/16 inch shank. The 2-flute geometry is well suited for slotting operations and softer materials where chip clearance is a priority. The centercutting design allows plunge entry. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional and climb milling passes on most machine tool setups. The 45-degree helix provides a balance of surface finish quality and chip flow efficiency across a range of workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling choice for CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 3/16 inch round shank via ER collet, set-screw holder, or equivalent toolholder.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine in a full stop, spindle off, and all energy sources locked out per shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder to the recommended grip depth before torquing the retention nut. Verify runout at the cutting edge after installation, as excessive runout on a small-diameter carbide tool can cause premature breakage. Speeds and feeds should be set per the manufacturer's published data for TiB2-coated carbide end mills at this diameter.
