The HARVEY TOOL 923062-C8 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling operations in demanding machining environments. With a 0.0625 inch (1/16 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.312 inch length of cut, this tool is built for small-feature work where accuracy and tool rigidity are critical. The 0.125 inch shank diameter and 2.5 inch overall length make it suitable for use in compact workholding setups. A titanium diboride (TiB2) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in non-ferrous and abrasive materials. Machinists and CNC operators working in tool rooms and production shops will find this end mill well-suited for fine detail cuts and tight tolerance work.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual mills where small-diameter tooling is required. The 3-flute geometry with variable helix provides improved chip evacuation and reduced chatter in finish milling passes. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction follow standard spindle conventions for most machine tool setups. The center-cutting capability allows for plunge entry, expanding its use in slot milling, profiling, and pocketing operations on aluminum, brass, copper, plastics, and similar materials.
Designed as a standard shank solid carbide square end mill compatible with 1/8 inch collets and toolholders on vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines requiring small-diameter end mill tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing tooling. Use a collet or toolholder rated for the 0.125 inch shank diameter and verify runout with a dial indicator before running production cuts. Avoid over-extending the tool beyond the recommended length of cut to prevent deflection and premature breakage.
