The HARVEY TOOL 916457-C3 is a 5-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. It carries a 3 mm cutting diameter with a 15 mm length of cut, making it well suited for finishing passes and slot milling in tight geometries. The variable helix design at 47 degrees reduces chatter and harmonic vibration during cut, which extends tool life and improves surface finish. An AlTiN coating adds thermal and oxidation resistance, allowing the tool to run at elevated cutting speeds. Licensed machinists and CNC toolroom operators are the primary users of this end mill.

This end mill is built for machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. It fits standard toolholders accepting a 4 mm shank diameter. Installation Notes

Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Secure the 4 mm shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder to the torque specification called out by the toolholder manufacturer. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before production cutting. This tool is not centercutting and should not be plunged directly into solid material.
