The HARVEY TOOL 912605-C3 is a miniature corner radius end mill designed for precision finishing operations in demanding materials. Built from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN via PVD process, this single-end tool cuts at 3 mm (0.1180 inches) diameter with a 0.01-inch corner radius and a long flute length of cut at 0.625 inches. The 4-flute, right-hand helical geometry at a 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and surface finish quality. With a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank and 2.5-inch overall length, it mounts in standard toolholders used in CNC machining centers. Licensed machinists and toolroom operators working in tight tolerances rely on this geometry for corner radius blending and finishing passes.
This end mill is suited for finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. It is center-cutting with right-hand flute direction, making it capable of plunge entry when the application requires. The long flute design provides extended reach into pockets and slots where standard-length tools cannot access. Its miniature diameter makes it well suited for small-part machining, medical components, mold and die work, and similar close-tolerance finishing applications on CNC mills and machining centers.
Designed for use with standard cylindrical-bore toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter. Compatible with primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites per ISO material codes P, M, K, N, and O.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully in the toolholder collet or chuck and verify runout before initiating cuts. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards for toolholder torque and clamping procedures.
