The HARVEY TOOL 904208 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in aluminum alloys, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and composites. The tool features a 1/8 inch mill diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and a 3-flute variable helix geometry that reduces chatter and harmonics during cut. Overall length is 1.5 inches with a 3/8 inch length of cut. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration suits both roughing and finishing passes. Bright/uncoated finish is suited for non-ferrous machining where coating adhesion can be a concern. This end mill is intended for machinists and CNC operators working in precision toolholders.
This tool belongs to the Harvey Tool Variable Helix End Mills for Aluminum Alloys - Corner Radius series. It is well suited for precision slot milling, profiling, and contouring in aluminum and non-ferrous metals, as well as steel and stainless steel applications where a corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations at part features. The regular length geometry and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard precision collet chucks and toolholders. It is appropriate for both production shop and job shop CNC machining centers running right-hand spindle rotation.
Designed for use with high precision toolholders. Suitable for milling aluminum, cast iron, steel, stainless steel, wood, and composite workpiece materials per the Harvey Tool Variable Helix End Mills for Aluminum Alloys - Corner Radius series specifications.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine placed in an e-stop or lockout state. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully and concentrically in a precision collet or toolholder to maintain runout tolerances appropriate for this diameter class. Avoid gripping the fluted section. Confirm spindle direction is right-hand before engaging the cut.
