The HARVEY TOOL 877708-C3 is a miniature corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. Built from solid carbide with an AlTiN PVD coating, it measures 1/8 inch in diameter with a 3/8 inch length of cut and a 0.01 inch corner radius. The 4-flute, single-end geometry supports both roughing and finishing operations. With a 2 inch overall length and extended reach design, this tool is built for deep-cavity and long-reach applications where rigidity and precision are critical. Installed in a standard straight-cylindrical toolholder, it is suited for CNC machining centers operated by skilled machinists.
This end mill is engineered for miniature and close-tolerance milling applications where a small corner radius reduces stress concentrations and extends part life. The extended reach and long-reach series designation make it appropriate for workpieces requiring tool access beyond standard reach envelopes. Suitable for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, composites, and non-ferrous metals, it performs in both production and prototype environments. The right-hand cutting direction and helical flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation. It mounts in a standard straight-cylindrical toolholder compatible with common CNC milling setups.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders. Compatible with primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites as designated by material codes P, M, K, N, and O.
Installation and operation of this end mill should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC milling equipment and toolholder specifications. Ensure the toolholder is clean and undamaged before securing the shank, and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before engaging the workpiece. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material. Never exceed the tool's rated capacity or force the cutter into a cut without appropriate ramping or plunge strategy.
