The HARVEY TOOL 876108-C3 is a miniature corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding applications. Built from solid carbide with an AlTiN PVD coating, this single-end tool has a 1/8 inch cutting diameter and a 0.01 inch corner radius, which reduces stress concentrations and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner end mills. The 4-flute, right-hand helical design at a 30-degree helix angle supports both roughing and finishing operations. The extended reach geometry, with a 5/8 inch reach length and 3/8 inch length of cut, allows access to deeper features and pockets that standard-length tools cannot reach. Machinists and CNC programmers install this tool in compatible toolholders for tight-tolerance work on small part features.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines where precise corner geometry and extended reach are required. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites. The extended-reach series is commonly applied in mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and precision part production where wall clearance and depth-of-cut control are critical. The straight cylindrical shank is compatible with standard collet and toolholder systems accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
Compatible with toolholders and collet chucks accepting a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. Designed for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite workpiece materials per the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Long Reach, Standard Flute series specifications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The machine spindle must be stopped and the toolholder fully secured before inserting or removing the end mill. Ensure collet bore is clean and free of debris before clamping to maintain runout tolerances within the specified mill diameter tolerance of 0.0000 to -0.0020 inches. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut being applied.
