The HARVEY TOOL 852993-C6 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 3/32 inch (0.093 inch) cutting diameter and a 1/2 inch length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small-diameter applications. The 4-flute geometry with a 34-degree variable helix promotes chip evacuation and reduces chatter across a range of materials. An AlTiN coating adds heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in high-speed and dry cutting conditions. This end mill is single-end and right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction, suitable for CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is suited for finishing and light profiling passes in ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless, and other abrasive materials where a small-diameter, coated carbide tool is required. The 1/8 inch shank fits standard collets and tool holders common to CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles. The 2-1/2 inch overall length provides reach without sacrificing rigidity at this diameter. It is not centercutting, so plunge milling is not recommended. Typical applications include slot milling, contour milling, and finishing operations in aerospace, mold-and-die, and precision part manufacturing.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups accepting a 1/8 inch shank via ER collets or equivalent tool holders. Intended as an OEM-style solid carbide end mill for small-diameter precision milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tool-holding procedures. Ensure the spindle and machine are fully powered down and at rest before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or tool holder to the recommended gauge line and torque the collet nut per the tool-holder manufacturer specifications. Because this tool is not centercutting, do not use it for direct plunge cuts into solid material.
