The HARVEY TOOL 837908 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. With a 0.125 inch cutting diameter, a 1.125 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers clean, accurate profiles in tight-tolerance applications. The 3-flute geometry balances chip evacuation with rigidity, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling where finish quality matters. The uncoated carbide substrate performs reliably across a range of workpiece materials without the thermal sensitivity associated with some coatings. This is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration.
This end mill fits CNC machining centers and manual mills used in job shops, tool-and-die operations, aerospace component work, and general precision machining. The 0.125 inch shank diameter allows use in standard collets and end mill holders common to both full-size vertical machining centers and benchtop CNC mills. Its 2.5 inch overall length provides enough reach for moderate-depth features while maintaining rigidity. Machinists working on small-feature parts, molds, dies, or prototype components will find this geometry appropriate for finish passes and moderate material removal in confined areas.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 1/8 inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the tool holder manufacturer torque specifications for collet nut or set-screw retention. Confirm runout at the tool tip before engaging the workpiece, as excess runout accelerates edge wear on small-diameter carbide tools. This end mill is non-centercutting and must not be used for direct plunge entry into solid material. Always verify spindle RPM and feed rate against published cutting data for the specific workpiece material before running.
