The HARVEY TOOL 836736-C6 is a solid carbide helical flute thread mill designed for cutting 10-32 unified fine threads in both internal and external applications. With a 3-flute geometry and AlTiN Nano coating, this tool handles thread milling in a single helical pass. The 0.1200-inch cutting diameter and 3/16-inch (0.1875-inch) shank diameter make it suited for tight-clearance thread work at 32 teeth per inch (TPI). Coolant-through is not available on this tool. It is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working in precision manufacturing, tool and die, and aerospace or defense component production environments.
This thread mill is sized for 10-32 applications with a minimum nominal diameter of 0.1900 inches, a length of cut of 0.3120 inches, and a 2.0000-inch overall length. It cuts both internal and external threads, eliminating the need for separate tooling setups. The solid carbide construction and AlTiN Nano coating support use in hardened steels, stainless steel, and other demanding workpiece materials where tool life and edge integrity are critical. CNC machining centers running helical interpolation programs are the standard platform for this tool.
Designed as an OEM-style thread milling solution for CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation, suited to 10-32 thread applications requiring a 3/16-inch shank toolholder.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified CNC machinists or tool and die professionals. Secure the shank fully in a properly sized collet or toolholder before use, and verify runout is within acceptable limits before cutting. Program helical interpolation at the correct pitch for 32 TPI and confirm spindle speed and feed rates are appropriate for the workpiece material. This tool does not support coolant-through delivery, so external coolant or air blast should be directed at the cutting zone to manage chip clearance and heat.
