The HARVEY TOOL 810220-C3 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for high-precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. Built to wire gauge size 72 with a decimal equivalent of 0.0250 inches, it features a 130-degree point angle for accurate entry and reduced thrust. The spiral flute geometry promotes chip evacuation in small-diameter holes. An AlTiN coating adds heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in harder workpiece materials. Overall length is 1.5000 inches with a 1/8 inch shank diameter and a flute length of 0.1700 inches. Right-hand cut orientation is standard. This bit is intended for machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and precision fabricators working on CNC or manual drilling operations.
This micro drill bit is suited for precision drilling in metals, composites, and other hard materials where small-diameter holes are required. Typical applications include electronics enclosures, instrument components, aerospace parts, mold and die work, and any production environment demanding consistent hole quality at sub-1mm diameters. The 1/8 inch shank makes it compatible with standard collet chucks and drill chucks sized for miniature tooling. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both prototype and production runs requiring tight positional accuracy.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard miniature drill suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines equipped with collet chucks or drill chucks accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with miniature drill operations. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the collet or chuck is clean and undamaged before seating the shank. Micro drill bits are brittle at small diameters — avoid side loading, excessive feed rates, or interrupted cuts that can cause breakage. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material and drill diameter.
