The HARVEY TOOL 807224-C3 is a solid carbide double angle milling cutter designed for precise angular groove milling, chamfering, and dovetail-style slot work on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 90-degree included angle, a 3/8-inch cutting diameter, and a 1/8-inch cutting width, making it well suited for tight-tolerance applications where geometry consistency matters. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life in demanding cuts. With 6 teeth and a 3/8-inch shank, this cutter installs in standard end mill holders or collets and is used primarily by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC or manual milling machines.
This cutter is suited for production and job-shop environments where angular features such as V-grooves, chamfers, or serrations must be cut to a defined included angle. The 1/4-inch neck diameter and 1-1/4-inch neck length provide clearance for reach into recessed features while maintaining rigidity. At 3 inches overall length and 0.15 pounds, the cutter is compact enough for use in multi-axis setups where tool interference is a concern. It is appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes on aluminum, steel, stainless, and hardened materials when used within the cutter's rated parameters.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation double angle milling cutter for use in standard 3/8-inch ER collets or end mill holders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's recommended tool-holding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and locked before changing tooling. Use a calibrated torque wrench on collet nuts to the holder manufacturer's specification and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Consult the machine's programming documentation and applicable shop safety standards when setting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
