The HARVEY TOOL 775908 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 1/8-inch cutting diameter and a 3/8-inch length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and contouring in tight-tolerance work. The downcut flute geometry directs chips upward and reduces surface lifting, making it well suited for laminates, composites, and finish-sensitive materials. A 40-degree helix angle and right-hand cut with right-hand flute configuration deliver smooth chip evacuation. The uncoated (bright) finish maintains a sharp edge on the base carbide substrate. At 1-1/2 inches overall length and 1/8-inch shank diameter, this is a compact tool built for small-feature work.
The 775908 is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter, high-precision cuts are required. The downcut flute direction makes it a go-to choice when surface finish on the top face of a workpiece is critical, such as when milling wood, plastics, fiber-reinforced composites, or non-ferrous metals. The 2-flute design provides adequate chip clearance for these material types. It is not center-cutting, so ramp or helical entry strategies are recommended rather than direct plunge cuts. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments will find this tool appropriate for detailed finishing passes and profile work.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1/8-inch straight shank. Not center-cutting — plunge milling is not recommended without a ramping or helical entry path.
This end mill is installed by a machinist or CNC operator into a collet or end mill holder rated for a 1/8-inch shank. Confirm the holder and collet are clean and undamaged before seating the tool. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Because this tool is not center-cutting, program ramp or helical entry moves rather than direct axial plunges to avoid tool damage or breakage.
